Tenby SEG Students Achieve Top 3 in Malaysia at Global Maths CompetitionOur International Primary students have once again shown what happens when confidence meets consistency — securing an impressive 3rd place in Malaysia at the Times Tables Rock Stars World Rock Competition. This globally recognised competition challenges students to build speed, accuracy and fluency in multiplication — transforming times tables into an engaging, high-energy experience. Competing against schools across Malaysia and beyond, our learners demonstrated not only strong mathematical ability, but also focus, resilience and a genuine enjoyment of learning. We are especially proud of the students who represented Tenby Schools Setia Eco Gardens with such determination: Kyson, Zi Xuan, Aadhya, Jonghyuk, Rudra, Nathan, Ahmad, Sashannth and Woojin. Each of them contributed to this collective achievement, showing that progress in maths is not just about getting the right answer — but about developing confidence with numbers over time. What stood out most was the consistency behind the scenes. These results reflect regular practice, a willingness to embrace challenge, and the kind of “good struggle” that helps learners deepen their understanding. Through platforms like Times Tables Rock Stars, students are encouraged to strengthen their mental maths skills in a way that feels both purposeful and motivating. At Tenby SEG, we believe that strong foundations in numeracy open doors across all areas of learning. Whether in the classroom or through friendly competition, our approach is designed to help students become confident, capable problem-solvers.This achievement is a reflection of that journey — one where effort adds up, confidence multiplies, and every learner has the opportunity to thrive.Where Learning Leads.
