Tenby International School Setia EcoHill came alive with pride during our recent Merdeka and Malaysia Day celebration. The day united our community through parades, performances, and creative activities that honoured Malaysia’s history and diversity. The celebration began with a Malaysia Day Parade, where students proudly carried the Jalur Gemilang and sang Negaraku with confidence. Dressed in traditional costumes, they reflected the multicultural spirit that defines our nation. Our talented students then took centre stage with music, dance, and drama. From Zapin and Joget to patriotic choir pieces, every performance highlighted their creativity and courage. Parents and teachers applauded as students showcased how learning extends beyond the classroom into culture, teamwork, and leadership.Across the campus, classroom activities and cultural showcases kept the spirit alive. In Primary performed Silat, the traditionalmartial art and followed by a heartfelt poetry reading by a student during assembly, while Secondary students designed Malaysia-themed costumes and proudly showcased them during our assembly. Food stalls and cultural displays gave everyone the chance to experience Malaysia’s flavours and traditions. The celebration was more than an event—it was a reminder of our values of curiosity, confidence, and responsibility. Students didn’t just learn about Malaysia’s journey; they lived it with pride and joy.
