Stand Pie Me

A pie-sized kindness for an incredible purpose

30-04-2025

What started as a simple idea—to sell pies in support of Autism Acceptance Month—quickly turned into something much bigger.

In partnership with Stand Pie Me, a social enterprise that empowers neurodivergent young adults through training and employment in food production, our Tenby community came together with heart and purpose. The energy was infectious from the start. As soon as pre-orders opened, the buzz spread like wildfire. Students asked about the flavours, teachers reminded their classes to order, and staff couldn’t wait to try the now-famous pies.

We received 322 pre-orders across the campus, and on the day of collection, an additional 150 pies were sold—bringing us to a total of 470 pies. That’s 470 acts of support, kindness, and inclusion!

The morning of the event, the dedicated team from Stand Pie Me arrived bright and early to set up the booths, greeting everyone with smiles (and the heavenly smell of freshly baked pies!). The queues started forming, conversations flowed, and there was a shared feeling of warmth and purpose in the air.

And the best part? Everyone loved the pies. Students, teachers, and staff were all spotted enjoying their buttery, golden-crusted treats throughout the day—some even sneaking back to buy seconds! It wasn’t just about the pies. It was about the story behind them, the people who made them, and the values we were all proud to stand for.

A heartfelt thank you to Stand Pie Me for partnering with us in such a meaningful way, and to our incredible Tenby community for making this initiative such a success. Your support, enthusiasm, and belief in a more inclusive world made all the difference.

Together, we didn’t just sell pies—we celebrated neurodiversity, inclusion, and the power of community.
