Learning doesn't stop with our students—it extends to the entire Tenby community. We are delighted to celebrate the successful completion of our first Parent English Class programme at Tenby Schools Setia Eco Park. Designed especially for parents from China, Japan and Korea, the programme provided a welcoming and supportive environment where participants could improve their English, build confidence and connect with other families within our international community. To ensure every parent received the right level of support, the programme was offered in two levels—Beginner and Intermediate. Throughout the sessions, parents developed practical English communication skills that they could use in everyday life, while also gaining greater confidence in communicating within the school and wider community. The classes were led by Dr Denise Evans, Lead Teacher for our New to English Programme (NEP) in Key Stage 1 Primary. With more than 13 years of experience teaching children and adults from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, Dr Denise brings a wealth of expertise to every lesson. Holding a Doctor of Education in Global Education, a Master's degree in ESOL, and bachelor's degrees in Elementary Education and Vocal Performance, she is passionate about creating engaging learning experiences that help every learner thrive.
