The smell of pandan and coconut filled the air as families gathered in Tenby Schools Setia Eco Park for a Kuih Ketayap Workshop that was as heartwarming as it was delicious. Seven families — parents and children, including those joining the new academic year — spent the afternoon cooking, laughing, and learning together.Led by our talented school pastry chef, everyone had the chance to make kuih ketayap from scratch. Children carefully mixed the batter for the pandan skin, while parents guided little hands in wrapping the sweet coconut filling. For some families who were new to Malaysia, the chef also introduced the unique aroma and flavour of pandan, helping them discover one of the most beloved ingredients in local desserts. Each family proudly took home their handmade kuih, along with the recipe to recreate it again at home.
