Tenby Schools Setia Eco Gardens Partners with University of Reading Malaysia to Expand Future Pathways Opportunities

At Tenby Schools Setia Eco Gardens, creating the best possible futures for our students is at the heart of everything we do. While academic success remains important, we believe that preparing students for life beyond school is equally essential.

That preparation begins early. For our International School students, pathway exploration starts from Year 9, while students in our National School begin considering their future options from Form 3 onwards. Through dedicated guidance and exposure programmes, students are encouraged to explore a wide range of university pathways, academic disciplines, career streams and vocational opportunities before making important decisions about their future.

We are delighted to strengthen this commitment through a new partnership with the University of Reading Malaysia. The recently signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) marks the beginning of a collaborative programme designed to help students better understand higher education and the opportunities available to them after secondary school.

Starting in August 2026, students from both our International and National Schools will have access to a range of experiences, including one-to-one consultations, pathway planning sessions, university workshops and campus-based learning opportunities. Through this partnership, students will also gain exposure to a variety of in-demand degree pathways offered by the University of Reading Malaysia, including Finance and Business Management, Accounting and Finance, Real Estate, Law, Quantity Surveying and Psychology. By introducing students to these disciplines early, we hope to help them discover their interests, understand industry trends and make informed decisions about their future studies.

The MOU signing event included a campus tour for students and an engaging workshop titledĀ How to Find Your Spark, encouraging participants to reflect on their strengths, interests and aspirations. Students also had the opportunity to hear from Tenby alumna Tasnia, who shared her journey from Tenby to becoming a Provost Scholar at the University of Reading Malaysia, where she is currently pursuing her foundation studies on a 100% scholarship.

This partnership reflects our commitment to ensuring students are equipped not only with strong academic foundations but also with the knowledge, confidence and guidance needed to navigate an increasingly complex world. We keep our students informed about the opportunities available to them, support them in exploring their options and empower them to pursue their ambitions with confidence.

We extend our sincere thanks to the University of Reading Malaysia for their warm hospitality and partnership. Together, we look forward to creating meaningful opportunities that will benefit students across both our International and National Schools as they prepare for successful futures.
