What happens after IGCSE or SPM? For students, that can feel like a big question — and one that is much easier to navigate when they have the right guidance, information and opportunities to explore their options early. Our recent FuturePathwaysEvent, organised byFuturePathwaysLeads Ms Azlin and Mr Ridzwan, brought together secondary students from both our International and National Schools to start those important conversations. The event welcomed representatives from 52 universities and education agencies, giving students the opportunity to explore different institutions, courses and routes available to them after secondary school. Around 39 parents also joined us, makingfutureplanning a conversation that families could be part of together. For our Year 10, Year 11, Form 4 and Form 5 students, the experience went a step further. Students had the opportunity for one-to-one counselling sessions with UniEnrol, where they could discuss their individual interests and better understand thepathwaysavailable to them after IGCSE or SPM. Rather than waiting until graduation is around the corner, we want students to have the time and exposure to ask questions, discover possibilities and make more informed decisions about what comes next. Feedback from participating university and education representatives was equally encouraging, with many commenting positively on our students’ engagement throughout the event.
