Students, parents and educators came together at Tenby Schools Penang for the Sri Tenby Build-A-Thon 2026, a day of hands-on activities designed to spark curiosity, creativity and problem-solving through STEAM education. Held on 31 July 2026, the event transformed learning into an interactive experience, giving students opportunities to experiment, build, create and put their knowledge into action. Hands-On STEAM Activities for Young Learners Throughout the Sri Tenby Build-A-Thon, students took part in activities spanning Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM). Younger students explored fun science activities, maths challenges and robotics workshops, while other activities combined robotics with art and creative thinking. Science demonstrations and interactive booths added even more opportunities for students and families to discover how STEAM connects with everyday life. The event also featured an Aerosim Flight Simulator, giving students an exciting glimpse into aviation and technology through an immersive experience. Learning from STEM Professionals Beyond the hands-on activities, students had the opportunity to hear from an aerospace engineer and STEM advocates who shared their knowledge, experiences and perspectives. These conversations helped students see how the skills they develop at school — from critical thinking and collaboration to creativity and problem-solving — can connect with future studies and careers in STEM-related fields. Bringing Our Sri Tenby Community Together The Build-A-Thon was also an opportunity for parents to experience the excitement of learning alongside their children. With families, teachers, students and partners participating throughout the day, the event created a lively environment where learning extended beyond the classroom and became something the whole community could share. Congratulations to all the Sri Tenby Build-A-Thon winners, as well as every student who participated, challenged themselves and explored something new. A heartfelt thank you goes to our parents, teachers, partners and wider school community for their participation and support in making the event possible.
