Choosing what comes after school is a significant milestone for every student. At Tenby Schools Penang, we believe that students make stronger decisions when they have access to the right information, guidance and opportunities to explore their options. Our recent Future Pathways Festival brought students, parents and university representatives together on campus for a day dedicated to exploring higher education, future study options and the many pathways available beyond school. Bringing future opportunities closer to students Throughout the festival, students had the opportunity to meet university representatives, ask questions and learn more about courses, entry requirements and different study destinations. These face-to-face conversations gave students the chance to look beyond university brochures and websites and gain a clearer understanding of the opportunities available to them. Supporting parents through the decision-making journey Planning for university is not a journey students take alone. Parents play an important role in helping their children navigate decisions around courses, universities, destinations and future careers. The Future Pathways Festival therefore provided families with an opportunity to explore these choices together. By speaking directly with education representatives, parents could ask questions, understand different progression routes and gain greater clarity on how they can support their children through the next stage of their education. This shared access to information helps create more meaningful conversations between students and their families when considering life after school.
