At Tenby Schools Setia Eco Gardens, we believe some of the most meaningful learning happens beyond the classroom. Our Early Explorers recently enjoyed an unforgettable visit to Sinar Eco Resort, where a day of outdoor adventure encouraged curiosity, confidence and hands-on discovery in a safe, supportive environment. From the moment they arrived, our young learners were eager to explore. After a welcoming introduction and age-appropriate safety briefing, the children set off in small groups, ready for a day filled with new experiences designed especially for Early Years learners. One of the day's first adventures was a tractor ride around the resort. For many children, it was their very first time riding on a tractor—a simple but exciting experience that sparked conversation, wonder and plenty of smiles. Moments like these help children build confidence as they step outside their everyday routines and discover the world around them. The adventure continued with a visit to the animal enclosure, where the children had the opportunity to feed cows, goats, rabbits, deer and even a giant tortoise. These close encounters encouraged empathy, responsibility and respect for living things, while helping children develop confidence through gentle, hands-on interaction with animals. The highlight of the trip was horse riding. With safety as the priority, every child was fitted with a riding helmet and guided carefully by experienced instructors before taking their turn. Whether they approached the activity with excitement or a little hesitation, each Early Explorer demonstrated courage by completing a lap, celebrating a wonderful personal achievement that left them beaming with pride.Following an exciting morning outdoors, the children enjoyed a well-earned lunch and refreshing juice together, giving them time to rest, chat with friends and reflect on their favourite moments from the day.Experiences like these are an important part of our Early Years programme, where learning is active, purposeful and filled with opportunities for children to develop confidence, resilience and independence. Outdoor learning allows children to strengthen their communication skills, problem-solving abilities and social confidence while creating joyful memories that make learning meaningful. At Tenby Schools Setia Eco Gardens, we are committed to providing children with enriching experiences that nurture both their academic and personal growth. Our visit to Sinar Eco Resort was more than just a fun day out—it was an opportunity for our Early Explorers to build confidence, develop compassion and discover the joy of learning through real-world experiences. If you're looking for an Early Years school in Johor Bahru where children are encouraged to explore, discover and thrive, we invite you to visit Tenby Schools Setia Eco Gardens and experience our nurturing learning environment for yourself.
