Celebrating Student Creativity for a Cleaner Penang

14-10-2025

Tenby students expressed meaningful environmental messages through their artwork in a recent colouring competition.

The “Bring Your Trash Home for a Cleaner Penang” Colouring Competition aimed to cultivate a sense of responsibility and care for Penang’s natural beauty, encouraging students to play an active role in keeping public spaces clean.

Congratulations to Yuna (Year 6), Jun Hwa (Year 5) and Yi Lin (Year 7) for standing out as one of the winners among participants from schools across the region. Their artworks conveyed powerful messages on sustainability and waste management, reflecting both artistic talent and thoughtful interpretation of the theme.

A huge shout-out to all students who took part in the competition! Their enthusiasm, creativity, and dedication to protecting the environment highlight the values we nurture in our learners. As a school, we remain committed to promoting environmental education and inspiring our students to become responsible global citizens who act thoughtfully for a greener future.

The competition is organised in collaboration with Soroptimist International of Pearl of the Orient, and is part of Soroptimist International, a global platform focused on empowerment of women. More details about them can be found on their website.
