Tenby Penang learners take action for breast cancer awareness

31-01-2025

Penang students raised awareness and funds for breast cancer turning the campus into a sea of pink.

Pink Day at Tenby Schools Penang was a powerful example of students leading with purpose, as the school came together to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer. Learners of all ages took charge of organising activities, from designing ribbons to hosting fun games, creating an event filled with energy, collaboration, and compassion.

As part of the school’s Carnival for a Cause initiative, students explored the importance of giving back while using their creativity and teamwork to make a real difference. Activities such as sack races, craft-making, and performances were entirely student-driven, fostering confidence and leadership while promoting an important cause.

The secondary students showcased their creativity by designing stunning pink ribbons alongside the Wellbeing Ambassador students. Meanwhile, the cafeteria was the place to be for all things pink and delicious, with an array of bakes and treats that added to the festive atmosphere.

We wrapped up the day with a school assembly where we celebrated everyone’s contributions. The Tenby Wellbeing Ambassadors delivered a powerful presentation on mental health awareness, leaving us all inspired to continue supporting one another.

Pink Day wasn’t just about wearing pink—it was about learners taking action to support their community, develop life skills, and grow into compassionate leaders who care about the world around them.
