University and Careers Guidance at Tenby International School, Penang

Our Careers and University Advisor is based at the heart of the Sixth Form Centre, and provides all the information, advice and guidance students need to make the right decision about what they do after Sixth Form.  We think that it is essential Senior School students have the chance to explore and recognise their skills and potential, and to understand what opportunities are available to them for the next stage of their education and career.  Students will receive one-to-one Career Guidance to help them decide which course and higher education establishment best fits their profile, including understanding the UCAS entry procedure, guidance on preparing personal statements, resumes and mock interviews, as well as, practical support on results day.

Careers Education programme will be delivered primarily through the Senior School PSHE curriculum.  Students are provided with opportunities to explore the world of work and careers.  Tenby International School, Penang regularly hosts a wide range of university representatives who are keen to meet the students and throughout the year we also welcome guest speakers from all walks of life who we hope will enrich students understanding of life beyond education.  There is also a Careers Fair held at the school each year, which has representatives who attend to give our students information on University courses and admission procedures.

For overseas Higher Education information, advice and guidance both senior students and their parents will find the following websites useful:
