Admissions Procedure
All applicants go through the following procedure:
Application Form
The applicant must complete the Application Form (available at the Admissions Office at the School, No. 28, Jalan Kelab Golf) and attach copies of passport, school reports, any Special Educational Needs or medical reports and a processing fee of RM 200.00.

Assessment
The applicant will sit for the Assessment Tests as follows:

Please allow 2 to 3 hours for these assessment.
The student must obtain at least a score of 50% in all the tests in order to proceed to the next step. For special cases, where a student may come from a higher year or group level at another school, the student must obtain a score of 75% and above to proceed to the higher level.
Review
The application and outcome of assessment and trial period are reviewed by the Admissions Officer and the Principal.
Result
Parents will be informed of the outcome in writing. There are three possibilities and they are:
- Application is Successful: A confirmed place is offered at the school. The family will follow the next step – Confirmation of a Place.
- The application is Pending: The application is successful but places are not available and the applicant’s name will be placed on a waiting list.
- The application is Unsuccessful: The family will be notified as soon as is possible, to allow for alternative arrangements for future schooling, to be made.
- * Please note: Applications filed under Pending will be accepted as soon as a confirmed place becomes available.
Confirmation of a Place
Having been given an offer of a place, the family should confirm acceptance and pay the deposit and all term fees due. Upon receipt of the deposit and term fees by the school, the student’s place is secured.
Note:
Entry into International School (for Malaysian students)
Malaysian students who wish to register for the International School will be approved, if any of the conditions below is fulfilled.
- One of the parents is a foreign citizen.
- Has been studying overseas for at least than 2 years (e.g. children of diplomatic officers; living overseas for trade or education purposes).
- Has secured admission to a foreign institution overseas.
- Other acceptable conditions as determined by the authority on a per case basis.
Terms and Conditions
All parents/guardians must agree to the following:
- To pay a non-refundable Application/Registration Fee of RM200 as required for enrolment into the School.
- To provide a copy of their child’s most recent school academic and behavior report at the time of assessment.
- To pay all fees before the commencement of the School term (there are 3 terms a year). The School reserves the right to impose a late payment charge of 5% per annum on all outstanding fees which has not been paid by the 15th day from the commencement of the School term.
- To give, in writing, on the first day of term, notice of a student leaving the School at the end of the term or at least four months’ notice before the student leaves the School. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of the deposit.
- To ensure that their child will participate in all Curricular activities (including Physical Education) and Co-Curricular activities (games, clubs and societies, uniformed units and school sports). Students will also be required to participate in activities related to Science, produce folios, carry out projects, enroll in enrichment and remedial programmes, take swimming lessons and go on educational visits and outings. Students are required to wear the appropriate uniform at all times.
- The School reserves the right to discipline, suspend or dismiss any pupil whose lack of academic progress or behaviour is considered by The Principal to be unacceptable or an embarrassment to the School. When any student is suspended or dismissed, the School shall retain by way of liquidated damages, and the parent shall forfeit all entitlement to any fees paid with respect to the student.
- To inform the School of any change of address, contact details or alteration of personal details from the year of entry for the student.
- To abide by changes made to school policies, regulations, fees and schedule by The School at The School´s sole discretion.
- To indemnify the School, its officers and employees against any and all claims arising from any injury to their child whilst participating in any School activity, or while on School property or while traveling to or from school premises.
- To agree that in the event of an emergency, the school will make every effort to contact the parents or guardian. However, if this is not possible, the pupil will be taken to either his/her family doctor (if known) or to a suitable hospital, approved by The School, for treatment. The parent / guardian will reimburse the school for any expenses/payment incurred to the hospital/clinic concerned.
- The School reserves the sole discretion to terminate the contract herein with the parent / student at any time if such termination is considered to be in the best interest of the School.

Note
- All students only pay a one-time Registration Fee of RM200.00 (RM500 for A Level) on Admission.
- Fees do not include book and uniform.

- The School reserves the right to impose late payment charge of 5% per annum on all outstanding fees which have not been paid by the 15th day of the commencement of the school term.
- To give, in writing, at least one term´s notice BEFORE the student leaves the School. Failure to do so will result in the forfeiture of the deposit.
- Payments are to be made by cash or cheque payable to IPOH INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL SDN. BHD.
