Tenby Schools Malaysia is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Jane Kuok as the Campus Head of Tenby International School Tropicana Aman, Kota Kemuning that will open in September 2018.
Although Jane was born and raised in the United Kingdom, she is no stranger to the international schools community. She joined the Tenby Group in 2008 from Garden International School at Setia Eco Park’s inception and was one of the pioneers for that campus taking on the position of Principal of Tenby International School with just 280 students. Under her stellar leadership, the school grew from strength to strength to become one of the most respected international schools in Klang Valley with a student enrolment of 1400 students. Jane also spearheaded Tenby Schools, Setia Eco Park (SEP) to achieve worldwide standards recognition from the Council of International Schools’ (CIS) and Western Association of Schools and Colleges’ (WASC). This was the first school in Malaysia to obtain such kudos with both an international and national school on one campus.
From SEP, Jane was promoted to Campus Principal at Tenby Schools Ipoh Campus where she has held the reins for three years. During this time she has transformed the School to embrace its Vision, instilling International Mindedness, bringing the community together to celebrate diversity and respect for another. Jane has also been instrumental in raising the bar in all areas of the School; student expectations for children to achieve their full potential in academic excellence, sports and arts as well as embedding school wide learning focused practices. Under Jane’s leadership, the School is now on its accreditation journey with CIS.
In addition to her vast knowledge in international education, Jane also has extensive experience as a Council of International Schools (CIS) Accreditation Leader for the past 14 years. She is also a Course Tutor for the Post Graduate Certificate in Education international (PGCEi) for Queen’s University and Stranmillis University College, Belfast, United Kingdom and a versatile trainer for leaders and teachers.
With a Masters in Arts in Educational Leadership and Management from the University of Bath, United Kingdom, Jane is fully aware of the challenges of learners in the 21st Century. Tenby Schools Malaysia believes that her varied experience and knowledge as well as her passion for educating children, will ensure that every student in Tenby International School Tropicana Aman will have an amazing learning experience in a school that will become the school of choice for the community.
