About Us

The Tenby Educare Schools (TES) was set up in 2004 to provide education services. It is currently organized as a private limited company and is in the process of being converted to a non-profit Education Foundation.

Until now, both Schools developed independently following differing routes with its own peculiar characteristics. In Ipoh, it was an expatriate kindergarten that became an international school that later acquired a local division. In Penang, it developed as a local kindergarten and a private school offering the Malaysian Curriculum, and then operated an International School.

The immediate task facing the TES is to speedily standardize and up-grade the delivery system. A longer term and more difficult but nevertheless important task is to upgrade the pedagogical processes to ensure a more holistic approach to education aimed at grooming our youth, apart from being learned, to be responsible, compassionate and critical thinkers as well.

TES is in the process of overcoming the problem of recruitment of trained teachers / facilitators due to the acute shortage of such personal in the Country.  We have been granted permission by the University of Cambridge International Examination (CIE) to conduct the Cambridge International Diploma for Teachers and Trainers course to meet our own requirements of having trained teachers in all TES schools. Currently 16 teachers are being trained at our schools in Ipoh and Penang.

TES is confidently looking to the future to provide a world class education for its expatriate students as well as for its local students, striving to achieve its vision of 'A UNITED WORLD AT PEACE'.

A Global Vision to Equip Young Minds

The school aims to give students the skills, knowledge and personal qualities to confidently face the challenges of a rapidly changing world. Students are encouraged to multi-task and to take on new challenges on a day-to-day basis in order to foster self-discipline, encourage independent learning and develop personal and social skills. They are given practical life skills that will stand them in good stead wherever their next destination in life may be beyond academia.

An Integrated Holistic Curriculum

International schools in the Tenby Group follow the British curriculum and private schools follow the Malaysian curriculum. We have a strong tradition of employing an integrated and thematic approach to learning and acquiring knowledge. Students learn music, fine arts, sports and participate in a wide range of co-curricular activities so as to gain a holistic learning experience.

State-of-the-art Facilities

The new school will feature well equipped facilities including a sports complex with swimming pool, basketball and tennis courts, a football field, music, drama and art studios, a multipurpose hall, an auditorium, science, computer and design & technology laboratories and a library.

A Professionally Trained Faculty

Our teachers are well-qualified and equipped to prepare every child for future success. Ongoing teacher-training is provided to continuously develop our teachers' skills and knowledge in line with the rapidly changing global environment and the most recent research into teaching and learning.

A Caring, Community-Oriented Family

We take pride in our tradition of fostering a close-knit community between the teachers, students and parents.  The environment of every school is akin to that of a family where each person looks out for the other in a spirit of love and care.  Students and parents are encouraged to participate actively together with the faculty to create an invigorating learning environment.
