My name is Liberty Cunningham and I am an enthusiastic English teacher, originally from the UK. I am joining the school with a degree in cultural studies, a PGCE in English and 4 years’ English teaching experience. I pride myself on my ability to make literature come alive, help pupils to dig deeper to discover hidden meanings and use language to express themselves in original ways. Providing a creative, personal and positive atmosphere is at the heart of my teaching; after all, you don’t have to be wholly serious, to be serious about language. Travelling is also a passion of mine and I look forward to experiencing a culture so unlike my own. So in the famous words of Lewis Carroll, “Explanations take such a dreadful time, adventures first!
