Sekolah Sri Pinang

A Tradition of Learning and Excellence

An established presence and tradition of educational achievement, Sekolah Sri Pinang (formerly Sekolah Sri Inai Pulau Pinang) was the first private school in Penang in 1981. The school still remains the largest and premier private school in Penang. Many students from Sri Pinang have gone on to be leaders of industries and government.

An Integrated Program from Pre-School to Fifth Form

Tadika Sri Pinang Gemilang is an excellent foundation for young learners (3 to 6 year old) with its innovative approach to early learning.
Sekolah Sri Pinang Junior (Standards 1 to 6) teaches the Malaysisn KBSR Primary Curriculum. In addition to the five core subjects taken for the UPSR (Standrard 6 Government examination), pupils may opt to take Chinese as an additional subject.

Sekolah Sri Pinang Senior offers the Malaysian KBSM Secondary Curriculum for Form 1 to Form 5.

Child Centred Learning

Child-Centred, small classes (average 25 in a class) ensure personal attention to every child, with individual progress closely monitored.

The extended school hours (8.00am to 3.30pm) for both primary and secondary sessions essentially mean that every pupil receives adequate teaching in the various subjects, and there is no need for extra tuition outside school. Where required, the school arranges remedial classes at no extra cost.

The single-session co-educational concept means convenience to parents, a better all-round education for your child, and more quality family time.

Cosmopolitan and International Environment

A friendly community school in the heart of George Town, Penang on the beautiful island of Penang, with good transportation links to the rest of Malaysia by car, air, rail, bus and ferry. Its strategic location of just one hour by air from Bangkok and Medan on daily direct flights has attracted a growing community of international pupils from neighbouring countries.

Developing the Child´s Potential

Sekolah Sri Pinang recognises that school life is more than academic. To this end, a full range of activities beyond the class room ensures that every pupil finds his place, develops her identity and thrives in the rich and multi-faceted community life that makes up Sekolah Sri Pinang.

Clubs and society abound, from performing arts, to sports to the uniformed societies. We are particularly proud of our award-winning Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.

Curriculum and Special Features of Sekolah Sri Pinang

Sekolah Sri Pinang Junior teaches to the Malaysian KBSR Primary Curriculum. Pupils are entered for the UPSR examination at the end of Standard 6. In addition to the five core subjects - English Language, Bahasa Melayu, Mathematics, Science and Living Skills - Pupils may opt to take Chinese as an optional subject.

In the lower primary years, lessons are tailored to bridge the gap in ability for pupils who come from different kindergartens. In the upper primary years, remedial classes are conducted for pupils who require them.

After the UPSR examination in Primary 6, preparatory lessons in English, Bahasa Melayu and Mathemetics are provided to those requiring them, to ensure a smooth and seamless transition for pupils who wish to continue their secondary education at Sekolah Sri Pinang Senior.

Secondary pupils at Sekolah Sri Pinang Senior enjoy a stimulating and challenging environment in which to learn, play and interact with one another. A small school such as Sekolah Sri Pinang has the advantage that everyone knows each other, and there is a wonderful, warm and caring community life within the school.
