We understand that these years can be a challenging period for a child's emotional, intellectual and social development. The National Curriculum  for England (UK), appropriately modified for international students, guides and engages students through an innovative learning programme.

Tenby International School Secondary  is split into three key stages: Key Stage 3 (11 - 14 years old), Key Stage 4 (14 - 16 years old) and Key Stage 5 (16 - 18 years old). Here we provide  a balanced  education within a positive and stimulating environment, where students feel valued and can grow to their full potential.

At  Key  Stage  3 students  are taught  Bahasa Malaysia (Language/Culture),Chinese or French, DesignTechnology, English (First Language), Geography, History, lnformation & Communication Technology (ICl),  Mathematics, Physical and Health Studies (PHS), Personal and Social Education (PSE - includes Moral Education requirement for Malaysian students),Science,Visual and Performing Arts (Art, Drama, Music) and Agama (offered to all Muslim students across Tenby).

At Key Stage 4 this narrows  down and allows students to   study   a  range   of  subjects   including  the  core   of Mathematics,  English Uterature  and  Language,  at  least one  Science  and  one  Language.  Students  are able  to choose additional  preferred  courses,  with  a  variety of subjects on offer, including Economics, Business Studies and  Physical Education. As  an integral part  of the  Key Stage 4 curriculum,  our Personal and  Social Education (PSE) programme   is comprehensive   and  compulsory. It seeks to develop the student's awareness of life skills and their role in the various communities they inhabit, be it  on family, school, national  or international levels. The changing face of the world, with regards to history, politics, the environment and  the role of young people, is at the forefront of what our students study. Our goal is to give our pupils the confidence and knowledge required to adapt to the demands of a rapidly changing region.

We  use the  leading  internationally  renowned  and recognised qualification, the Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examinations.

We   have   a   team   of   expert   teachers   and   subject specialists who have continued with their own learning journey and consistently develop, practise and push educational boundaries.
